Mary Lou (Ketterer) Kiewiet, 75, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024, at her home in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
She was born Jan. 5, 1949, the daughter of Ray and Irene (Dingerson) Ketterer in Washington.
She was united in marriage to Craig Kiewiet, Nov. 17, 1973, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
Mary was employed at Standard Golf Company from 1977 until her retirement in 2014.
Mary enjoyed retirement and could be found scouring the local garage sales for great finds; utilizing her green thumb by landscaping her yard with beautiful plants and flowers of all kinds; putting puzzles together; experiencing different restaurants; and could be found attending all school or ancillary activities of her children and grandchildren — but by far, her favorite activity of them all was spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by parents, Ray and Irene; and brother, Jim Ketterer.
Mary is survived by husband, Craig of Cedar Falls, Iowa; son, Travis (Teresa) Kiewiet and their children, Marley, Parker, and Taylor all of Dike, Iowa; daughter, Michelle (Aaron) Bertram, and their daughters, Shelby, Shay, and Summer all of New Hartford, Iowa; sisters, Sally Ketterer of Washington and Linda Trest of Gerald; and brother, Steve Ketterer of Dixon.
A family-directed Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
