Woody Bogler Trucking Co. (WBT) celebrated 100 years in the trucking business with a celebration Sunday, Sept. 15 on the company’s grounds.

A large crowd attended the event which featured food, music, games and a display of various trucks and other vehicles.

WBT was established in 1924 by William Martin Bogler in Chamois. The focus then was on mining and hauling clay.

In 1995, Woody’s son, Tracy Bogler came onboard full-time.

The company added a dry van division in 1997.

Today, WBT operates a fleet of 215 tractor trailers throughout the lower 48 states, half of which are dry van freight and half are end dump freight. The entire fleet are four-year-old or newer vehicles.

Bogler notes the company not only invests in high-quality equipment, but in high-quality employees. “Truck drivers spend countless hours behind the wheel to deliver the products that make our lives easier. We respect and value the men and women that follow regulations, inspections and checkpoints, just so they can make sure that our customers’ cargo gets delivered safely and on time.” He adds, “Our drivers are not only the face of the company, but they are the human component that makes us so successful.”

After a century in business, the company has diversified and continued to grow serving existing and new customers. Service remains the company’s priority.

The company currently has about 240 employees including office staff, shop workers and drivers.

WBT is located at 6048 Highway 50, just east of the Gerald city limits.
