Avery Lorine DeBoeuf, 7, of Owensville, passed away Sept. 1, 2024, on the Gasconade River.

She was born Feb. 9, 2017, to Blake and Samantha (Dittman) DeBoeuf in St. Louis.

Avery had a joyful and curious spirit, always eager to learn and explore. Her beautiful smile would light up a room. She loved self-teaching acrobatics, drawing, singing, and all things music. She had a caring heart and found beauty in the simplest things. Her favorite colors were yellow and pink. She also loved butterflies, tacos, chocolate, and playing dress-up. She enjoyed the outdoors, playing basketball and T-ball. Playing with her American Girl dolls alongside her sisters and caring for her pets, Bear, Blue, Inky, and her beloved river turtle were many of her favorite pastimes. She filled her days with fun and adventure.

Avery was preceded in death by dad, Reven Newbound; and grandma, Sherri Crider.

She leaves behind mother, Samantha; father, Blake DeBoeuf and wife, Marissa; brothers, Cooper and Talton; and sisters, Addysan and Kiah, whom she loved deeply. Her memory will also be cherished by grandparents, Todd and Karen Dittman, Chrisse Dittman, Danny Jones, and Charlie and Kim DeBoeuf; as well as many aunts, uncles, and extended family.

Avery was a shining light in the lives of those who knew her, always kind, playful, and full of love. Though her time with us was brief, the joy and warmth she brought to her family and friends will never be forgotten.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Sept. 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Owensville High School, followed by funeral services at 1 p.m. officiated by Rick Hardy and Rev. Kevin Sullivan.

Graveside services will take place at Howard Cemetery near Bland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to family’s choice to support the family during this time.

Arrangements entrusted to Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville.
