Owensville High School Class of 2024 members (standing, from left) Emma Daniels, Jayna Larsen, Madison Miles, Kate Blankenship, and Aryon Fisher; and (seated) Layni Heidbreder, Cassidy Gooch, Taylor Thompson, and Lily-Kate Farrell, relax together Friday in the minutes leading up to lining up for their processional march. They were among 137 seniors to graduate in the 103rd commencement ceremony for Owensville High School. Several class members wore buttons featuring the face of classmate Drake Holzschuh who took his own life at age 15 in April 2021. Classmates lobbied school officials to allow them to place an empty chair in the gym for their friend.
