Bledsoe-Bulas VFW Post No. 6133 in Owensville hosted its annual Memorial Day tribute to the nation’s war dead on Monday which included the posting of the American flag at half mast by members of the color guard followed by the Auxiliary unit’s posting of a memorial wreath. The Post 6133 five-man honor guard fired three rounds each during a gun salute to conclude the ceremony. The Post’s converted propane powered pack howitzer also fired a three-shot salute. Near perfect breezy and mild weather greeted the Post’s more than 100 guests.
