In order to earn Academic All-State from the MHSBCA, players have to be at least a sophomore, ranked in the top 25 percent of his class or score at least a 24 on the ACT and carry a minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

OHS players earning this distinction include Layne Evans, Landon Ely, Jaden Gerlemann, Maddox Parker, Owen Binkhoelter, Jansen Loeb and Zaiden Gates.

Hermann’s Gavin Moore also earned Academic All-State honors from the MHSBCA.

Numerous OHS track athletes also earned Academic All-State honors from the Missouri Track and Cross Country Coaches Association (MTCCCA)

Dutchgirl track and field athletes claiming Academic All-State honors from the MTCCCA included Makenzi Carpenter, Alison Daniels, Emma Daniels, McKenzy Echols, Hannah Gehlert, Ilene Limberg, Lainey Moss, Cameron Nowack, Ruvia Nowack, Lily Sample, Brynn Wright, Arianna Baguio and Brynn Wright.

In order for athletes to earn Academic All-State honors from the MTCCCA, they have to have competed in a district, sectional or state track meet in addition to recording a 25 or higher on the ACT or an 1150 or better on the SAT along with maintaining a 3.6 gpa at the end of the spring semester of the season.

Four Dutchgirl soccer players also earned Academic All-State honors for their play on the field and work in the classroom.

That quartet consisted of Grace Abell, Anya Binkhoelter, McKenna Edwards and McKenzy Echols.
