Hermann cross country boys, girls in top half of teams at Father Tolton

HERMANN —The cross country boys placed seventh as a team, the cross country girls placed seventh as a team, and Nolan Kopp placed seventh individually as part of Hermann cross country’s day at the Father Tolton Cross Country Invitational at Gans Creek Saturday, Sep. 14.

The varsity boys came in seventh place out of the 17 teams competing at Gans Creek Saturday morning. They finished with 162 points, three ahead of the eighth place team Kirksville and nine behind the sixth place host, Father Tolton.

The Lady Bearcats varsity team took seventh out of 15 with 206 points, well ahead of Calvary Lutheran’s 231 in eighth place, but also well behind St. Pius X (Kansas City) in sixth place with 165.

Kopp’s time of 16:27.54 was good for seventh place in the boys 142-runner field and was the highest placement of any varsity runner from Hermann on Saturday.
