Celebrating 165 years

Boeuff Presbyterian Church celebrated its 165th anniversary Sunday, June 9, with a special mid-afternoon service. Church memorabilia, including the church’s first Bible, were on display in the back of the sanctuary and the vestibule. Boueff and St. Paul’s have a long history of working together and sharing services and events. St. Paul’s will also celebrate 165 years in Gerald this fall. Several people who grew up in Boueff church were in attendance to help celebrate. To round off the day, cake and several varieties of homemade ice cream were served in the basement dining hall. The church’s cemetery was the site of the congregation’s first two churches. Members built the present church in town in 1913-1914.
